Research
I am particularly interested in the ontological politicking surrounding the construction of addiction and its undergirding epistemologies, the creative means harm reduction organizations employ to preserve the health and dignity of people using drugs, paperwork in healthcare settings, as well as the bio/necropolitical apparatuses surrounding the management of drug users. Prior to becoming a graduate student at UCLA, I worked as an outreach worker conducting street-based syringe exchange services, overdose prevention, and safer drug use education throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, and Brooklyn.
