Biography

Ana Vieytez earned a B.A. in Sociology and Latinx/Latin American Studies from Amherst College in 2021. She then worked as a paralegal at an immigration law firm before beginning graduate school.

Ana’s research focuses on the strong transnational nature of Salvadoran communities outside of El Salvador, predominantly in the U.S. Other research interests include social networks, international migration, popular religion, gender, and race.
