Education: Ph.D., Sociology, UCLA (2016); M.A., Sociology UCLA (2007); B.A., Sociology and Political Studies, Pitzer College (2006).

Areas of Interest: Comparative and Historical Methods; Political Sociology; Race and Ethnicity; Social Class; Sociological Theory.

Classes I Teach: Introductory Sociology, Development of Sociological Theory, Contemporary Sociological Theory, Comparative and Historical Methods, Race and Ethnicity in American Life, Sociology of Crime, Sociology of Mass Communication, and American Society.

Current Projects: I am currently working with Professors William Roy and Gabrielle Raley on a book on the social construction of reality in American society, Making Societies, 2nd edition.
