Biography

Amber D. Villalobos is a PhD candidate in Sociology at the University of California – Los Angeles and a student affiliate of the California Center for Population Research.  Her research examines race and class differentials in access and returns to education and the implications of these differentials for social stratification, inequality, and mobility. She is particularly concerned with understanding how educational experiences affect one’s life chances.
